Don’t buy into the lies that it is to late to achieve your goals and dreams. I am very pleased that on my 50th Birthday, my first book was published. You can find this new recovery book on Amazon and Kindle.
There are multiple pathways that people recover from addiction—some recovery from the twelve-step approach. But, for every alcoholic that ever walked into an AA meeting and stayed sober, the success is maybe 30%. Others may spend time with a counselor to better control dysfunctional thoughts that lead to emotional and behavioral problems. However, for every alcoholic or addict that tried this path, the success is maybe 30%. Finally, others may begin or rebegin attending church and have a spiritual experience that results in long-term sobriety. And like the other two approaches, the success rate is maybe 30%.
For me, the pain of rock bottom after rock bottom became so great that I finally learned to hedge my bets and incorporate all three of these pathways in my personal recovery. This is the premise behind the Restoring Recovery & Pray Until Something Happens Book.
There are countless books out there about cravings, triggers, people, places, things, hungry, angry, lonely, and tired. While these concepts are important, and the book does cover them, these topics merely address the symptom of addiction and never get at the underlying cancerous cause. The Restoring Recovery & Pray Until Something Happens book takes a much different and deeper approach. Restoring Recovery & Pray Until Something Happens infuses spiritual and Biblical principles into evidence-based addiction and mental health treatments.
I pray that the concepts in this book have as much of a transformation in your life as they have in mine.
